Interview With Jaimie Sullivan
Tell us about your journey into modeling and how it all began.
I began modeling at 16 when I was scouted at the US open in Huntington Beach. I was a huge tomboy though and only really cared about soccer. I didn’t understand the whole “model world” at all!
What was your most memorable shoot and what made it unique?
I did a shoot and a commercial for Corona Beer. I feel like their campaigns and billboards are pretty distinct and iconic. It was pretty cool to be apart of that brand.
If you took a different career path, what would you be doing?
I always wanted to be an animal trainer actually and work at a zoo! I would watch animal planet all day as a little girl and wanted a pet monkey more then anything.
What was your childhood like? Any long lasting memories?
I grew up in a little beach town in Orange County called San Clemente. It’s a total surf town, where everyone knows each other and basically you grow up every day down at the beach. I basically lived in a bikini all my life!
What’s one thing you wish humans would learn from dogs and why?
To always appreciate a good piece of meat haha!
How many dogs do you own and what are their names?
I have one French bulldog named Charlee. She’s a girl though, and a very bratty little fat one.
What’s the weirdest dream you’ve had recently?
I actually had a dream I was living in the 70’s, I had some awful neon outfit on.
You went swimming with pigs, try to describe that experience the best you can.
It was amazing! I went on a sailing trip through the Bahamas with a friend for a month on a little 32 foot sail boat. It was an unbelievable experience, we got into some nasty storms, anchored at the most beautiful deserted islands with nothing but nature and sea life around, and drank a ton of rum haha. One of the islands that we went to was Big Major Island, which is famous for the swimming pigs. I had seen pictures but didn’t know what to expect. Pictures don’t even do it justice, the water is crystal clear blue and these pigs are HUGE and they aren’t scared of anything. They live the good life and just wait for people to come up and feed them in paradise. We fed them watermelon husk and beer!
Do you have any pet peeves?
I can’t stand when people aren’t accountable, we all make mistakes and we should all be responsible for our actions.
Which song best describes your life?
Probably Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson
Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
Ummm if I had one piece of advice it would be travel as much as possible while you can! that’s a happiness you will have forever!
